Robotics Solutions

The breadth of possible applications in the robotics industry matches the vast experience we can deliver to our customers through a variety of design methodologies, material know-how, and manufacturing capabilities.

Our large off-the-shelf portfolio offers many options ranging from lenses designed for multi-megapixel sensors including 4K HDR imagers to large FOVs, to lightweight and compact.

Many of our lenses are made with a combination of high-precision, spherical glass as well as injection-molded, aspheric plastic elements. This enables wide-angle lens designs with our exclusive Tailored Distortion® technology, minimizing optical distortion. These designs use proprietary manufacturing processes to minimize unwanted lens flare and ghosting to provide best-in-class image quality in cameras using HDR imager sensors.

Single-Sensor: 2-channel, no latency
The flexibility of Sunex DXM™ enables novel and innovative applications in a compact form factor without compromising imaging quality. Applications could include a miniaturized stereo camera, different FOVs, and multispectral and RGB+IR imaging combinations. All on a single sensor. When paired with our SXM™ technology of interchangeable lenses, developers of robotics applications can rely on the proven quality and performance of Sunex lenses and get the flexibility they need for fast development and prototyping cycles.

Interchangable M12 lenses
The patented Sunex SXM™ technology can use multiple lenses on the same camera without requiring lengthy downtimes or refocusing when changing the lens. If the camera software supports it, the lenses could even be hot-swappable. These interchangeable lenses offer high-precision and prefocused mounting technology for many use cases. The possibilities are endless, from technology demonstrators to fast prototyping and flexible SKU configurations.
